With Brits still leading the way when it comes to buying property in Costa Blanca, and with properties in the region being in more demand than ever (both for purchases and holiday rentals), it’s no wonder that the property market has seen a boom in recent years.
Despite its popularity amongst expats, it is still more than possible to find your dream Costa Blanca property, in a price bracket that suits you. Read on for a rough guide on how much you could get for your money in the ‘White Coast’.
When compared with house prices in the UK, finding a Costa Blanca property for under €100,000 may seem like an unattainable dream. Fortunately, this isn’t the case!
If you’re prepared to head north and be a short drive rather than a walk away from Costa Blanca’s sandy beaches, you’ll find more of a variety of properties that suit this budget. Take Ciudad Quesada, San Fulgencio or Los Montesinos, for example.
These areas benefit from plenty of local shops, both traditional Spanish and international restaurants, and are just a short distance from the more bustling Torrevieja if you fancy a day trip or night out. For between €80,000 and €100,000, you’ll commonly find a variety of resale 2-bed (or the occasional 3-bed if you’re looking at the right time) apartments. Although you won’t have your own private pool, you’ll usually find that the apartments will have access to a communal pool and gardens.

- 2-bed ground floor apartment, resale, Ciudad Quesada – €80,000
- 3-bed apartment, new build, Los Montesinos – €89,900
- 2-bed garden apartment, resale, San Fulgencio – €100,000
€100,000 – €150,000
You’ll notice a bit more variety in Costa Blanca property types when you’re looking with a budget of up to €150,000. Think 3-bed resale townhouses or brand new, ultra-modern 2-bed apartments.
Even in the most desirable locations such as Villamartin, you’ll find the odd townhouse on the market for this budget. You can also expect your property to have either a private garden, terrace or balcony (and sometimes all three!).
If the beach is a real driver for you, you’re far more likely to be able to purchase a property within walking distance to the seafront in locations such as Torrevieja as prices creep towards the €150,000 mark.
View Costa Blanca property between €100,000 – €150,000:

- 2-bed apartment, new build, Torrevieja – €139,000
- 2-bed apartment, new build, Orihuela-Costa €150,000
€150,000 – €250,000
With a budget of €150,000 – €250,000, you can expect to have your pick of a number of top properties almost anywhere in the Costa Blanca region. This is when brand new or traditional Spanish 3 – 4-bed villas and private pools are added into the mix.
If you’re still interested in an apartment (rather than a villa) within this price range, you’re in luck. As mentioned above, Costa Blanca property is in high demand, meaning that many of the best developers and architects are regularly completing luxury builds within the area. You’ll be looking at the more high-end, newly built 2 – 3-bed apartments that will likely feature en suites, spacious balconies, and may even have sea views!
View Costa Blanca property between €150,000 – €250,000:
- 3-bed apartment, new build, Pilar de la Horadada – €164,900
- 3-bed villa, resale, Algorfa – €190,000
- 3-bed villa, new build, Pinar de Campoverde – €245,990
Unlike with Costa del Sol property, where a budget north of €250,000 may still only get you a 2-bed apartment, in Costa Blanca you’ll find you have a choice of considerably sized properties.
For golfing enthusiasts, there are often plenty of new-build villas situated on prestigious courses such as La Finca Golf. These exclusive developments will offer a taste of luxury, with top quality designs, large private gardens, swimming pools, rooftop solariums and more.
As with the lower budgets, the further north of the coastline you head, the more you’ll get for your money. If you’re looking for a more rural, countryside property, you could expect to find 4+ bed resale villas with huge private plots for less than half of the price you could pay in Costa del Sol.
If you’re looking for a prime beachside location, with the latest, highest quality features, you’ll still be able to find a Costa Blanca property to suit you. Take Dehesa de Campoamor for example. For €500,000+, you could find yourself a premium collection villa with a huge private pool, rooftop solarium with Jacuzzi, and a vast master suite with walk-in wardrobes, all just 700m from the beach!
